Way Too Cool

I got in the controversial active.com registration for the 2008 Way Too Cool 50k Sunday morning. Thus I am going to start my training blog and today marked my first official day of training. I think I am going to try the Santa Clarita ultrarunners schedule this time, perhaps with a few adjustments. I had to drop off a rental car at the Hertz which was about 2.77 miles away, so a perfect route to start!

Folsom Lake Run

Did about 15 miles at Folsom Lake on the Pioneer Express Trail. Since I haven't really trained that well lately, I was feeling it towards the end. Especially when I saw the buzzards flying overhead waiting for me to keel over. But I made it and it felt good to be back out on the trail!

Feather Falls Backpacking

My first time backpacking to Feather Falls. We hiked on up past the falls in the background of the picture to set up over night camp.

Beale Falls trail run

I decided to go trail run up to Beale Falls today since sitting around doing nothing was starting to wear on me. Besides, I better start some longer hill runs if I going to make it through Headlands 50.
